The Prince Edward Hosptial Auxiliary’s annual Festival of Trees Campaign is being deemed a huge success.
The 12th annual festival, which saw people bid on donated and decorated Christmas trees, raised a total of $50,000 toward the purchase of 15 IV infusion pumps at the Picton Hospital.
The pumps are crucial for patient care and are used to deliver various medications and pain relievers.
There were 209 tree entries that were bid on, with extra proceeds raised from the festive food sale, a prize draw and the Second Time Around Shop Christmas Boutique.
In total, the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation is trying to raise $398,200 towards its equipment campaign, by the end of March.
