Some traffic disruptions should be expected on Dundas Street East in Belleville until at least 5 o’clock this afternoon.
City police report a crash between Pinnacle and Church streets around 1:15 p.m. that has taken down a hydro pole and its lines.
Police, ambulance and fire personnel were called to the scene and the driver was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Photos from the scene show a white taxi cab up against the hydro pole, which is leaning over the sidewalk and into a parking lot.
Hydro crews are on scene working to repair the pole and drivers should avoid the area until the area has been cleared.
