The Belleville Senators continue their grueling 8 games in 16 days on the road with a matinee in Rockford Monday, the team’s first appearance in the Icehogs barn.
It is a 2:00 p.m. start (1:50 p.m. on CJBQ for Eastern Overhead Doors and Deerhaven Farm and Garden).
Belleville has been running short-handed up front, with just 10 forwards available, for their win in Grand Rapids Saturday night.
Rudolfs Balcers, Drake Batherson, and Filip Chlapik will be in Monday afternoon’s game, after Ottawa released them back to the AHL club.
Head Coach Troy Mann says the three have not been gone that long.
Mann adds they will help the lineup.
Man says the healthy bodies will help, since they have been short-staffed.
Belleville sits second in the North Division, just two points back of Utica, who they meet on Friday and Saturday.
The Sens also have a game in hand on the Comets.
Belleville meets Milwaukee Tuesday, to meet the best team in the AHL, the Admirals (Nashville Predators AHL affiliate).
