The local public school board and the local branch of CUPE are heading to conciliation.
In a release from the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board, they announced their negotiating officials, and those with CUPE 1022 will announce the dates, once the two sides can agree on a conciliator.
The two sides have met five times since November.
The Director of Education Sean Monteith says their focus on these talks is students first.
Monteith says they believe in the process and will continue to have discussions in good faith.
