There was an accident Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. in the area of 554 Old Highway 2 in Bayside.
Quinte West OPP and Fire responded to the scene. One person was extricated from a vehicle by Quinte West Station 3 firefighters with medical support from Hastings-Quinte paramedics.
There were four people in one of the vehicles and one person in the other. All five were taken to the hospital with minor injuries according to reports from Scan-Quinte.
The eastbound lanes were closed for about an hour, but were reopened around 9:30 p.m.
Details on the injuries and the cause of the accident are unknown.
