The Belleville Senators began their eight game road trip on a winning note last night in Rochester knocking off the division leading Amerks 5-1.
Alex Formenton powered the offence scoring his first career professional hat trick. Vitaly Abramov and Jean-Christophe Beaudin also scored for Belleville.
Formenton says that his teammates are to thank for his success.
Rochester fired 36 shots on Filip Gustavsson, who turned aside 35 to pick up his 9th win of the season.
Formenton adds that Gustavsson bailed the team out a couple of times.
Belleville continues life on the road Saturday night with a stop in Utica, seeking revenge against the Comets at 7 p.m. The B-Sens lost 3-2 at home on Wednesday night to the Comets.
