Belleville city council will be asked to approve a sculpture and a play park at its meeting Monday.
Both would be located near the Bay of Quinte.
The Rotary Club of Quinte has proposed paying for an Outdoor Fitness Park to be located east of existing play equipment along Keegan Parkway on the Bayshore Trail.
The club would pay the $33,000 cost of the equipment and the city would pay for installation.
Meanwhile, the Butterfly Girls, organizers of the annual Butterfly Run, want council’s approval to pay for a metal sculpture to be placed at West Zwick’s Park.
The sculpture would be created by Shawn Donnan and his company Horizon Metal Works of Quinte West.
Over four years, the Butterfly Run has raised over $340,000 for Quinte Health Care and the Belleville General Hospital Foundation.
Council meets at 4 o’clock at city hall.
