A huge North American trucking and moving company says Quinte West, specifically Trenton, is seeing solid growth in the numbers of people moving to it.
U-Haul reports that Trenton is the number two “Growth City” in Canada with the number of one-way U-Haul trucks arriving in the city increasing by 10% last year over 2018. It ranked number three in 2017 and 2018.
All in all, one-way U-Haul arrivals made up 58% of all one-way traffic in or out of Trenton.
North Vancouver ranks number one in the Canadian Growth City category.
U-Haul migration trends do not correlate directly to population or economic growth but are an effective gauge of how well communities are attracting and maintaining residents.
