On January 6, 2020, at 5:46 a.m., police attended at a Brown Street apartment in relation to a disturbance. One caller indicated that a person had a baseball bat in his possession. Officers were allowed in one apartment and consent was granted to search for the baseball bat. An officer discovered a male hiding in a bedroom closet. A check revealed that 33-year-old Michael John Bird of Belleville was wanted on several warrants by the Belleville Police Service. His charges include failing to attend court X 2, failing to appear for fingerprints, flight from Police, and breach of probation X 6. He will appear for bail on January 7, 2020.
