Not stopping for police and being an unwelcome guest led to a slew of charges against a 29-year-old Belleville woman last night (Monday).
At around 8:20, police tried to stop a vehicle on Station Street believed to have been operated by a prohibited driver.
The vehicle didn’t stop and police quickly stopped the chase but located the vehicle abandoned on Janlyn Crescent.
A nearby homeowner demanded officers remove two unwanted people from a residence and they then found the driver of the car inside and charged her with being unlawfully in a dwelling house, dangerous driving, flight from police, operating a vehicle while prohibited, two counts of driving while under suspension, and breach of probation.
She appears for a bail hearing today.
