A 51-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 62 in Centre Hastings early yesterday (Friday) afternoon.
Central Hastings OPP, Centre Hastings firefighters and Hastings-Quinte paramedics responded to the scene after reports of two vehicles sitting in a ditch along Highway 62 near Hollowview Road shortly before 1 o’clock.
The lone occupant of one of the vehicles, Robert McCoy of Apsley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Highway 62 near the collision was closed for 10 hours for an investigation and the investigation continues.
