Approximately $2,000 worth of cigarettes was stolen early Saturday morning from a business on Highway 37 in Belleville’s north end.
Police responded to an alarm at the business around 2:30 a.m. Officers noticed that the business had been broken into through the front door
Police cleared the building of any suspects before calling the Forensic Identification Unit for assistance.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Belleville Police Service.
