As we turn our attention to the municipality of Brighton, 2020 will be another year with a focus on the shoreline.
Mayor Brian Ostrander says Lake Ontario levels are a major concern.
Ostrander says if water does not continue to pour out of Lake Ontario in record levels, Brighton does not stand a chance.
He says the damage was high in 2019, both for the municipality and for private residents.
He says in November, the International Joint Commission announced they would deviate from Plan 2014, until the high water mark is hit for 2020.
