8 Wing Trenton is transitioning in 2020, and Quinte News had a chance to talk to the military’s top man in the region.
Base Commander Colonel Ryan Demming says they want to focus on getting as many service women and men as possible a roof over their head.
Demming adds they also want to remain an employer of choice for local residents and Canadians.
He says they will continue to ensure their 10-year plan also gets updated, and the rolling out of it is set for the months ahead.
