Due to the freezing rain and icy road conditions Quinte Waste Solutions will not be picking up recycling today. There will not be a make-up date.
Glenora Ferry service is back up and running on their regular schedule as of noon.
There will be no meals on wheels delivery in Quinte West today.
The Belleville Lions Bingo Hall is closed for the day today because of the uncertainty of the weather and the widespread power outages. They will re-open tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11:30 a.m. for the New Year’s Eve program.
Recycling collection in Prince Edward County has been cancelled due to icy road conditions. There will be no make-up date for today. Residents are advised to bring their recycling back in and hold until their next collection date.

Quinte Waste Solutions’ recycling depot is open to the public for recycling drop off at 270 West Street in Trenton from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5 pm (closed New Year’s Day). Waste Management continues to collect garbage and green bins in Picton, South Marysburgh, and North Marysburgh Wards. Updates will be provided if collection is delayed in those areas.
Please be advised that some Northumberland County residents may experience disruptions in their waste and recycling collection today due to icy road conditions. While efforts are being made to minimize any disruption to the collection schedule, some residents may experience a delay in waste and recycling removal. In the event that collection does not occur as scheduled, residents are asked to please remove their waste and recyclables from the curbside and place them out again on the next regularly scheduled collection day.
