Two people were taken to Belleville General Hospital following a two vehicle accident on Hamilton Road in Quinte West early this afternoon.
According to Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan, an SUV and a truck collided at the corner of Aikins and Hamilton roads, sending both vehicles into the ditch on the north side of the road. The SUV came to rest on its roof.
Whelan says both vehicles are a write-off.
One lane of Hamilton Road was closed to traffic while firefighters from Station 3 attended the scene.
