During the past year the Bay of Quinte Mohawks saw a number of projects get approved or get underway.
Chief R. Don Maracle tells Quinte News Tyendinaga Territory partnered with Loyalist Township on a solar project which came on line in 2019.
Maracle says a new medical building has been identified for the community in partnership with other Indigenous people and they’re hoping to have a doctor, nurse practitioner and other staff.
He tells Quinte News that things are looking good for a Long Term Care facility to be established.
Also during this past year, Tyendinaga Territory constructed a new $4.5 million water line for the village of Shannonville.
