There’s a new face in the Belleville Police Service, but it may be familiar to some around town.
Constable Kelly Menna was sworn in by Justice Stephen Hunter yesterday and joins the BPS after a stint with Ottawa Police that started in 2008.
Menna is originally from Belleville and went to Harry J. Clarke and Moira Secondary schools, before moving to Ottawa where she earned a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton University.
During her career, Menna worked eight years on patrol and then joined the Forensic Identification Section in 2018.
She is also currently enrolled in the Forensic Identification degree program at Laurentian University.
