Prince Edward County fire fighters, OPP and Hastings-Quinte paramedics had a busy day yesterday (Saturday).
According to scanner monitor Scan-Quinte, an ATV hit a tree on Sunset Lagoon Drive around 3 p.m. OPP and paramedics responded shortly after. The man was reported to have shoulder, hand and leg injuries.
Later at approximately 5 p.m., there was a snowmobile accident with a man being thrown off the machine. According to Scan-Quinte the man wasn’t wearing a helmet and lost consciousness but was still breathing.
Also yesterday afternoon, there was a closet fire on Island Road in the County. Prince Edward County fire responded to the home to check things out but the fire had already been extinguished. There was limited damage to the house and no injuries were reported.
