Belleville firefighters made quick work of a chimney fire at an east end business Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 6 a.m. an alarm went off at Kennametal on Dundas East, across from the Bayview Mall.
Flames were shooting from the roof around one of the building’s chimneys.
The building was evacuated but firefighters had the situation under control by 6:06 a.m.
The Kennametal plant was then ventilated of smoke.
No injuries were reported.
