Residents in the Wooler area will be without power until around 3 p.m.
According to the Hydro One outage map over 600 customers are affected.
The outage was caused when a car slammed into a Hydro One pole around 6:45 a.m. on Carmen Road.
Quinte West OPP have closed Carmen Road until further notice because of downed lines.
The outage covers Carmen Road south of the 401 near Telephone Road, east to Hwy. 33 at Glen Miller and north to Batawa.
