The Quinte West Fire Department has stepped up with a better than expected food drive.
Station 5 in Batawa has been conducting the “Santa Tour” for 20 years.
They collected food around Batawa, Glen Miller, Pine Acres, Glen Ross, and Frankford.
Station Fire Commander Mike O’Neil says thanks to the generosity of residents, they collected several thousand pounds of food, toys, and dry goods.
The Frankford Lions, Trenton Care and Share Food Bank and the Stirling Food Bank helped with distribution.
