An investigation in to a criminal harassment complaint led Belleville police to stop a car that was fully loaded in more ways than one.
Police were looking for a 26-year-old man after an incident in the east end late last night (Thursday) and ended up stopping a car on Station Street.
The 26-year-old was a passenger. However, the 22-year-old driver was found to be an unlicensed driver and a 27-year-old in the back seat was intoxicated with open liquor in the car. There were a total of five people inside the car.
Police heard a knock from the trunk and found a sixth man inside the trunk.
The 26-year-old was charged with criminal harassment, the driver was charged for not having a licence and the 27-year-old was charged for public intoxication and having open liquor in a motor vehicle.
The others were not charged.
