A local fire captain has been promoted and will take on a high-level job with another area fire department.
According to social media reports, Matt Halmasy has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief for the Cramahe Township Fire Department.
He’s a long-time firefighter who has been a captain with the Alnwick-Haldimand Township Fire Department most recently.
