For the second time in ten days Belleville Senators goaltender Marcus Hogberg has been recalled by the parent Ottawa Senators.
Hogberg replaces Craig Anderson who left Saturday’s game in Philadelphia during the first period with a lower body injury. Anderson just came off the injured list last Tuesday.
Hogberg has made one start and one relief appearance for Ottawa this season posting a 1.82 goals against average in 99 minutes.
With the B-Sens he is 7-6 in 15 appearances with a 3.05 g.a. and .897 save percentage. Hogberg was stellar with 29 saves in Belleville’s 7-1 rout of the Cleveland Monsters Saturday night.
Belleville will likely recall Joey Daccord from the ECHL’s Brampton Beast to backup Filip Gustavsson.
The B-Sens are home to the Rockford Icehogs (Chicago Blackhawks) Friday night.
