Belleville Police have rebranded.
They launched their new crest and insignia today (Friday) to coincide with their move to their new facility on Sidney Street.
The crest is the departmental crest of the police service and features updated heraldic leaves added to represent tradition, professionalism, pride and dedication to the community, according to a press release.
The red in the crest represents Canada and the blue represents policing.
The new insignia bears resemblance to the new downtown district logo and displays the date the BPS was created in 1836.
