Motor vehicle collisions
On December 4, 2019, police responded to four motor vehicle collisions. Two were referred to the Collision Reporting Centre.
At 7:06 p.m. police attended on Bethel Road as a vehicle had struck a dog. The dog died at the scene. There were no charges. No one was injured.
At 8:11 p.m. police attended on West Moira Street at Marshall Road as two vehicles had struck a deer. The deer, a 14-point buck, died at the scene. No one was injured. One of the vehicles had to be towed.
Traffic Enforcement
On December 4, 2019, at 6:54 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Herchimer Avenue. A check revealed that the driver, a 35-year-old Belleville man, was a suspended driver. He was charged with driving while under suspension and will appear in Traffic Court on January 6, 2020.
