The annual holiday appeal to help serve children in the Greater Napanee to Kingston area is falling behind this season.
The annual Tree of Hope campaign of the Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington raised nearly $70,000 last year on its 100th anniversary.
This year it sits at $40,000 with the campaign deadline coming up on December 18.
The agency serves 900 children.
The money is used to buy items for the children served by the agency and pay for activities all year round.
This summer a record number of children got to enjoy the summer camp in July and August.
