BELOW IS A SNOWFALL WARNING ISSUED FOR OUR REGION BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 4:17 a.m. SUNDAY DEC 1
Snow at times heavy is expected to move into the region late this morning or early afternoon for regions along the shore of Lake Ontario. Very heavy snowfall rates are likely this afternoon. The snow should taper off this evening with mainly light snow and possible freezing drizzle tonight.
Total snowfall amounts of 15 cm are expected.
Strong wind gusts up to 60 km/h and local blowing snow reducing visibilities are also possible. Travel on roads will likely be very hazardous.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
