Officials with the Grace Inn Shelter say it is not quite what they were hoping for, but they are still very close.
On Friday, officials with the City of Belleville’s Building Department inspected the homeless shelter in Belleville.
Board Chair Jodie Jenkins tells Quinte News there was a lot of good news, but a few small things still to be done.
Jenkins says they will need to be completed over the coming days, and he still anticipates an early December opening.
Their goal for the past several months had been December 2.
Over the weekend, walls will continue to be erected.
Jenkins finished by saying not all the finishing touches will be complete upon opening, but the focus is about warm beds, bathrooms, and somewhere to rest.
