The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and CUPE have an approved three year collective agreement.
The announcement was made November 27 and stated the School Board and CUPE Local 5555 have based their new agreement on a provincial framework and also incorporates local issues and workplace considerations.
Chairperson of the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board Diane Lloyd says they have found common ground which will benefit all as the dedication and commitment of their CUPE staff are crucial for the operation of their schools and the success of their students.
President of CUPE Local 5555 Ron Maguire stated they are pleased to be one of a handful of CUPE Education locals in Ontario with a ratified agreement.
