The City of Quinte West is continuing work on a new industrial park in the municipality.
Manager of Economic Development Linda Lisle tells Quinte News the layout is done, design work is close to completion, and ten acres of land has been cleared.
The Carrying Place Industrial Park is just off Carrying Place Road, and will include water, water sewer work, new roadway, and curbs.
Lisle says they have already had inquiries about the 55 acre park.
She says their work will also include a marketing plan and tax incentives to attract business to the park. They have a point system which will focus on the value of the construction value, the number of jobs created and retained, and environmental criteria.
The municipality will also work with the individual businesses, to ensure they get the help they need.
