Highway 401 east around Shannonville was the scene of a pickup truck on fire Tuesday morning.
Shortly before 9:00 a.m., reports came in about a truck towing a backhoe being fully engulfed in flames.
Tyendinaga Township firefighters responded along with OPP.
The driver of the truck got out of the vehicle safely.
The road has since reopened.
