You might have to watch your speed a little bit closer on a stretch of Loyalist Parkway.
Council in Prince Edward County is looking to approve a speed reduction at their meeting tonight on the Parkway between Salem Road to Lakeside Drive in Consecon.
The change would see the speed reduced from 80 km/h to 70 km/h.
The motion was originally approved by the Traffic Advisory Committee in July.
Council will hear from Nick Nowitski, president of the Consecon and Area Ratepayers Association Inc. and he is seeking to have the speed limit reduced even further to 60 km/h. He highlights 10 accidents in his deputation that have occurred on that stretch of road.
Council meets at Shire Hall at 7 p.m.
