The Belleville Police Service Board has approved its capital budget for 2020.
It totals $836,500, which is close to $550,000 less than last year’s capital budget.
As usual, the big ticket capital item for the police service was the purchase of new vehicles.
The budget for seven new vehicles plus two new all terrain vehicles was set at $416,000.
Police Chief Ron Gignac will present the 2020 budget to city council during its capital budget deliberations on Wednesday morning.
