Customers at Canadian Tire in Quinte West have stepped up to help the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation with its campaign for new IV smart pumps.
Store staff presented a cheque for $5,000 on Wednesday, after a month-long campaign run by store staff, that shaw customers round-up their purchases, or make donations, with proceeds going towards the TMHF campaign.
TMHF Executive Director Wendy Warner says the “round-up” donation method was an easy way for customers to pitch in.
Store Owner Glenn Puchniak tells Quinte News there was a great response to the campaign.
The hospital foundation is trying to raise $335,000 to buy 67 new IV pumps, which are used by 90% of patients.
