It seems hopeful restaurateurs are interested in locating in downtown Belleville.
At Tuesday night’s Annual General Meeting of the Belleville Downtown Improvement Area, members learned that in the past four months there had been nine inquiries from businesses interested in locating in the core.
Five of those businesses were restaurants.
Meanwhile, of 32 vacant properties in Belleville’s downtown, eight are under renovation and eight are tenant-ready.
At this point none of the tenant-ready locations are set up to house restaurants.
