Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls for service from November 16, 2019 at 5 a.m. to November 17, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Warrants
On November 16, 2019 at 8:02 p.m., police attended a west end location to attempt to locate a man wanted by Belleville Police. When police arrived they located the man who agreed to go willingly with police. A 34-year-old man from Belleville was arrested for breaching his probation as a result of a domestic incident. The warrant was unendorsed, so the man was held for a show cause hearing on Nov. 17.
Family Dispute
On November 17, 2019 at approximately 1:59 a.m., police attended a west end residence for a report of a family dispute. Family members were heavily intoxicated which led to a disagreement. Police thought the issue had subsided with one family member agreeing to leave for the night. Unfortunately, police were called to re-attend a short time later. A 28-year-old Belleville man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place while a 21-year-old Belleville man was arrested for breaching the peace. Both were later released once deemed to be able to care for themselves.
