Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls for service from November 15, 2019 at 5 a.m. to November 16, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Mischief and arrest warrant
On November 15, 2019 at 6 a.m., police responded to a west end apartment building with regards to a noise complaint where a tenant was reporting that music had been playing very loudly for hours. Furthermore, concern was expressed for the wellbeing of the occupant in the apartment where the music was coming from. Police eventually made entry into the apartment and investigation resulted in 63-year-old Kevin Hill being arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for assault from 2017 and for mischief in relation to interfering with the lawful enjoyment of another person’s property. Hill was transported to The Belleville Police Service where he was released on a promise to appear. He was given a December 12 court date to answer to the two charges.
On November 15, 2019 at 11:30 p.m., police took into custody a 30-year-old Prince Edward County woman who was arrested by Prince Edward County OPP on the strength of two warrants held by Belleville Police. The warrants were in relation to two charges of failing to attend for court, failing to attend for fingerprints and mischief. She was held in custody overnight to appear at a video remand hearing before a Justice of the Peace on November 16.
