A plan to build a small marijuana growing and processing facility northeast of Ivanhoe will be up for discussion at a meeting of Centre Hastings council Monday.
Council will hold a special public planning meeting prior to a regular meeting so people can comment on a proposal to build an indoor marijuana growing facility and an accessory building on 70 acres of land bordering on Ray and Twiddy roads.
Hastings County council has already approved a rezoning application from Don DeWolfe.
The cultivation building would be 8,000 square feet in size.
The operation would be licensed by Health Canada in the Micro-Processing category.
The meeting on the application begins at 5 o’clock at the municipal office in Madoc.
