A stone that has been erected in St James Cemetery in Belleville is causing a lot of buzz on social media.
On November 2, the Knights of Columbus Council #1008 in Belleville announced they put up the stone, “In Memory of Victims of Abortion”. It is located in St James Cemetery.
The Catholic men’s group, and other chapters around the world have erected similar stones.
The facebook post has been seen by hundreds of thousands, and has received thousands of comments.
This Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Belleville’s Market Square, a protest is being organized by PSA Quinte and County, and the Warrior Women of Quinte. It is in retaliation to the stone being installed.
The protest is entitled Abortion is Healthcare, Gathering in Defense of Reproductive Health.
