The Belleville Police responded to 72 calls for service between November 13, 2019 at 5 a.m. and November 14, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Theft
On November 10, 2019, police received a report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim reports that he had his vehicle parked at an address on Heartwood. Sometime between 6 a.m. on November 9, 2019 noon on November 19, 2019, an unknown suspect entered his car. The person removed a pair of sunglasses, a Garmin GPS, and a set of anti-theft lug nuts. The value of the loss was approximately $400.
Theft
On November 13, 2019 at 3:33 p.m., police attended a business on Bell Blvd in regards to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, police spoke to the loss prevention officer. He provided video of a theft that had occurred. The video shows a female leaving the store with approximately $100 worth of merchandise. A 26-year-old Belleville resident has been identified and charges are pending once the suspect is located.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On November 13, 2019 officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Harmony Rd and River Rd. A vehicle traveling north on River Road failed to stop at the stop sign. The northbound vehicle struck a vehicle travelling east on Harmony Rd. A male in his 30s was transported to Belleville General by ambulance with what are believed to be minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing. The roads were slippery and snow covered at the time of the accident.
