A man has been killed in a so-called “interaction” with an OPP officer following a single vehicle collision in the Tamworth area northeast of Napanee around 6 o’clock last (Tuesday) night.
The OPP have provided little detail except to say the collision occurred on Fifth Lake Road in Stone Mills Township and that the Special Investigations Unit is investigating the incident.
Meanwhile two local scanner monitors, Scan-Quinte and Monitoring Quinte both reported the “interaction” involved multiple gunshots with a man dying as a result.
The Special Investigations Unit has yet to release information about the incident.
