Belleville’s Abbott Girduckis is making his mark in his first full season of professional hockey.
The 24 year old Quinte Red Devils graduate plays for the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League)
In 7 games Girduckis has scored 4 goals and 3 assists. Three of those four goals are game winners to lead the ECHL.
Girduckis joined Toledo after 4 seasons at the Rochester Institute of Technology where he captained the Tigers last year.
He was a nominee for the Hobey Baker Award which goes to the NCAA’s Outstanding Player of the Year.
Girduckis played 3 seasons with the Wellington Dukes from 2012 to 2015.
