City staff have completed the watermain repair near the corner of Nicholas St. and Water St. in Trenton. Residents and businesses in the affected area may notice discoloured water as staff continue to flush the system. The water is safe to drink.
The city is asking motorists to continue avoiding the intersection of Water St. and Nicholas St. as crews work to put a temporary patch on the asphalt around the watermain. Lane restrictions near that intersection should end by lunch.
Residents in the area can expect lane restrictions to return early next week as a more permanent road repair is completed. This will not impact water service.
