The local real estate numbers continue to be encouraging as we continue through the fourth quarter of 2019.
Quinte and District Association of Realtors President Cathy Polan says the year-to-date number for all property type sales has surpassed the $1 billion mark earlier than last year and around the same time as in 2017
The $1 billion mark was hit in December of 2018.
The monthly dollar sales total for all properties was up 20.8% from October 2018, at more than $104 million, with residential sales bringing in $94 million, an increase of 18.5% from the same month last year.
More homes were also sold last month, than in October last year, with 243 sales compared to 229.
The average price of a home in the area also jumped again in October, to $388,802, from $348,030, an 11.7% increase from 2018.
