October was a good month for the building department in Quinte West.
Last month there were 99 permits issued with a value of $24.6 million.
This is up significantly over this time last year, which saw 85 permits issued but at a value of $8.7 million.
A couple of bigger projects boosted this month’s construction values because of a new institutional build on Catherine Street at $10 million and a new assembly build on Division Street at a cost of $1.7 million.
There have been 866 permits issued to date with a value of $159.6 million.
