Two members of the Belleville Police Service were among 40 officers invested into the Order of Merit of the Police Forces by Governor General of Canada Julie Payette this week.
Deputy Chief of Police Mike Callaghan was one of three people invested as an Officer of the Order while Inspector Sheri Meeks was one of 36 Members.
The Order of Merit for the Police Services recognizes long-time service to the community that goes above and beyond the call of duty.
