A big new apartment complex could be a step closer to reality after a meeting of Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee this Monday.
City staff is recommending properties at 656, 660, 664, and 670 Sidney Street, just south of Bell Boulevard be rezoned to allow the construction of four apartment buildings which would contain a total of 96 units.
Some of the land is now vacant but there are small older houses on some of it which would have to be demolished.
Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee meets at 5:30 Monday afternoon at city hall.
