It’s a large and complicated housing development so it took over 2 hours of discussion by Prince Edward Council last night before a decision was reached on what’s to be known as Port Picton.
The majority of council approved a rezoning of land and a draft plan of subdivision for Port Picton, a plan including a total of 258 residential units, a boardwalk, and parkland on property surrounding the harbour in Picton.
The residential units would be in the form of some houses, some semi-detached homes and some townhouses with most being in apartment buildings.
There are many conditions attached to the draft approval and they must be met before council decides whether to finally approve the huge development.
